Hi,
     I am Dr.S.Sharmila. Friends used to call me "sharmi". I was born in a small town in the down south of Tamilnadu, Nagercoil in Kanya Kumari District. Did my initial primary schooling in Morton English Primary School, Nagercoil. Later, I completed my schooling Duthie Girls Higher Secondary School in 1998.  From 1998-2002, I did my graduation in PET Enginering College. Immediately after my graduation, I joined as a lecturer in PET Enginering College. Had a glimpse of teaching for 2 years, where I nurtured myself with the art of teaching. During this period, I had the opputunity to teach theoretical subjects like Theory of computation, data structures and Foundations of CS,  and other courses like DBMS, Graphics and Digital System Design. Later, I joined Noorul Islam College of Engineering in 2004, where I did my masters in computer science and engineering .

         I completed my PhD from IIT Madras under the guidance of Prof. C. Pandu Rangan. [I feel proud, happy and blessed to be his student.]
